Driving across the U.S.A. with a busload of rowdy Australian twenty-somethings can be challenging, but to seasoned tour manager Everett McCarty it was just another day on the job, even when the job involved prostitutes and enraged fiancees. For six years, he shepherded crowds of frequently-inebriated young tourists across the United States, giving him a unique perspective on the nation's spirit and national temperament. Eager to squeeze as much out of their holiday as possible, the young vacationers tended to be a fun-loving bunch, always ready to party and flirt with trouble. Their adventures and misadventures form the often-humorous backdrop against which McCarty outlines his thoughts on the joys and benefits of travelling.
